How to Setup Tor to Use NordVPN

You may have heard of Tor, the anonymous web browser that helps you avoid censorship on the web by using a virtual private network (VPN) to route your web traffic through different countries and different servers for increased privacy and security. This article will tell you how to setup your Tor browser to use NordVPN so you can keep your personal data protected when accessing the internet from a new location.

Install Tor And NordVPN

First, you’ll need to install Tor and NordVPN on your computer or mobile device. You can download the Tor browser from the official website and install it on your computer. Alternatively, you can download the NordVPN app from the iTunes or Google Play store and install it on your mobile device. Once you’ve downloaded and installed both applications, you can set them up using the steps below.

Configure NordVPN For Maximum Privacy

After installing the Tor browser and the NordVPN app on your device, you’ll need to log into your NordVPN account using the credentials you used when downloading the application. From here, you can click the + sign to setup a new server. Now, you can click the network icon in the top right corner of your screen to access your network settings. Then, you can click the gear icon to adjust your VPN settings, as shown below:

You can change the location, country or region that your server will route your traffic through by clicking the location drop-down menu. You can try out different servers based on their performance, speed, and price to find the best suited one for your needs.

As mentioned above, you can use your VPN to increase your privacy and security when online. To do this, simply connect to a server in a country or region where your ISP doesn’t have a legal obligation to retain the data they collect. This way, even if your ISP knows your IP address, they won’t be able to easily find out where you are located. And even if they do manage to figure it out, they’ll still need a court order to force you to disclose your browsing history.

Choosing a VPN to use with Tor is all about your specific needs. Some prefer to use a VPN to keep their personal data safe and private, while others may want to use it to access blocked websites or watch streaming videos without restrictions. If you’re not sure whether or not a VPN is right for you, take some time to research the different types of VPNs available and what each one can do for you. Then, choose the one that seems to fit your needs.

Setup Tor To Use NordVPN

Once you’ve configured your NordVPN account and installed the application on your device, you can click the gear icon in the top right corner of your screen to access your VPN settings. From here, you can click the settings tab to open the settings page for your Tor browser. Then, you can click the gear icon to adjust your Tor settings, as shown below:

You’ll first need to enter your NordVPN credentials when setting up your Tor browser. Alternatively, you can leave this section blank to use the default Tor settings. Next, you can add a new configuration called Virtual Private Network under the General tab.

This new configuration will allow you to choose which country you’d like your Tor traffic routed through. Once you’ve added this new configuration, you can click the Save button at the bottom of the page to save your changes.

If you decide that Canada is the best place for your privacy and security, for example, you can add a new rule under the VPN configuration section called CUSTOM RULES and enter the creditsuffix field with the COUNTRY CODE value set to CA and the COUNTRY NAME field set to Canada. Then, you can click the Save button at the bottom of the page to save your changes.

You can do the same thing for the US (Value: US) and other supported countries. Just make sure that your IP address is not already associated with any Google accounts or social media sites like Facebook or Twitter.

If you’re using the Tor browser on a mobile device, you can download the free app My Private Tunnel from the Google Play store or the iTunes App Store. This app allows you to setup a VPN tunnel between your mobile device and the Tor network, so you can access the content you want behind the firewall.

Once you’ve downloaded and installed the My Private Tunnel app on your mobile device, you can add a new VPN configuration by clicking the gear icon in the top right corner of your screen. From here, you can choose which country you’d like your VPN tunnel to be routed through and click the Save button at the bottom of the page to save your changes.

You can also click the VPN configuration link at the bottom of the page to open the page in your default browser. This way, you can verify that everything is working correctly before using the VPN regularly.

Use Tor To Browse The Internet Without Being Bullied

If you fear that your current ISP may be recording your activities online and using them to bully or threaten you, you may want to consider using Tor. The anonymous web browser helps you avoid censorship on the web by using a virtual private network (VPN) to route your web traffic through different countries and different servers for increased privacy and security. If your ISP has blocked certain websites or content because of your particular political beliefs or personal preferences, you can use Tor to access those websites without any problems.

To use Tor, you first need to establish a VPN connection to a server in a country where your ISP doesn’t have a legal obligation to retain the data they collect. Once you’ve connected, you can use the Tor browser to access censored websites or content that your ISP has blocked. If you’re new to Tor, it’s important to note that not all VPNs are created equal. Some VPNs, known as free VPNs, typically offer limited connections and speed, making them the perfect stealth tool for online criminals. Avoid using these free VPNs if you value your privacy.
