Choose A Strong Password

If you select ‘Tier 1′, you will be asked to enter your phone number and email address. You will then be required to give the app permission to share your information with the VPN provider so it can automatically sign you back in when you reconnect to a server.

If you forget your phone or it breaks, you will lose access to all of your accounts. To prevent this from happening, you can enable ‘Two Factor Authentication’ which will force you to enter a code whenever you sign in. This is usually a one-time-use code that you can set up with the app’s security team directly from your phone. This is an extra layer of security and is recommended for users who use sensitive information online.

Set Up For Automatic Backups

One of the nice things about having a VPN account is the fact that you can automatically back up all of your important data in the event of a hard drive failure or catastrophic system crash. 

To initiate a backup, you need to open the app’s settings and click the ‘Backup’ button. Next, you will be asked to select which folders you want to back up. Normally, it is a good idea to back up your Desktop, Documents, and Pictures folders. 

To back up other folders, you can enter the folder path in the ‘Folder’ field, and the app will walk you through the backup process. When it is finished, click the ‘Restore’ button to complete the process.

Access The Apps You Need

Once you have a VPN account set up, it’s time to download the apps you need to access the websites you want to protect. 

To do this, you need to go back to the VPN provider’s website and click the ‘Download’ button for the app you need. When the download finishes, you will be presented with a list of available apps. 

With all of the VPN apps you can download, you’re bound to run into a few duplicates. To prevent this, go into the app’s settings and select ‘Delete Duplicates’. This will remove all apps that are the same as or similar to the apps you already have installed on your phone.
