If you’re reading this, I assume you’re either an active or a recent Omegle user. If not, maybe it’s time to give the popular chat app a try! Whether you use it for entertainment or to connect with friends, there’s an unban switch you can throw to get your account back. Let’s find it and see how to use it.
What Is Omegle?
Although it started as a simple chat app, TikTok has completely changed the game. Originally built as a direct competitor to WhatsApp in 2014, TikTok has grown to become the third-most popular app overall. In fact, it grew so quickly that it overtook WhatsApp in terms of daily active users in early 2019. Since then, TikTok has continued to grow, recently hitting 500 million monthly active users and reportedly preparing for its initial public offering next year.
Omegle is similar to TikTok in that it’s a standalone app that doesn’t need to be installed on your phone in order to use it. While TikTok is focused on sharing and discovering entertaining content, Omegle is more of a traditional chat app where you and your chat partner (either real-time or in a group) converse with each other. This is made possible by a sophisticated artificial intelligence that understands natural speech and can carry on a conversation with you.
How to Access the Unban Switch For Omegle
If you ever wanted to try out Omegle but were prohibited by Mother Nature or an angry ex-partner, you can head to your device’s settings menu and find the entry for the app. From there you can access the “Unban” option that will restore your account’s full capabilities. Make sure you don’t have any other apps or browsers running when you click this option, as this could potentially harm your device.
Omegle’s settings menu is accessible from the main screen of the app. Simply click the wrench icon in the upper right-hand corner to open the settings menu.
The Options Panel
If you click on the wrench icon a second time, you’ll open up a small panel of options. In this case, you want to click on the “Unban” icon (the first option in the list).
Once you click on this option, the account ban will be lifted. If no ban is currently in place, the app will ask if you want to create one. If you’ve been prevented from using the app for any reason (usually a privacy issue), then you’ll see a warning above the option to create a ban. Simply click on the blue button to continue using the app.
How to Use the Unban Switch for Omegle
Once you’ve accessed the app’s settings menu, you can start talking to the A.I. again. Depending on how long you’ve been banned, the A.I. may or may not remember you and allow you to use the app. If it does, then great! If it doesn’t, then you’ll need to start over from the beginning.
Here’s how to use the ban option on Omegle:
- Open the app’s settings menu,
- Select the "Unban" option,
- Type in your Skype username or email address (this is used for verifying your identity),
- Click on the blue button to continue using the app.
If you click on the "+" icon (the add profile image button) next to your username, you’ll see your profile image displayed along with your username. You can also add a personal message to your image’s background. This is a great way to let others know who you are without having to type out your full name every time you tweet or chat.
You can make similar use of the email address you provided when you signed up for the app. Depending on how you signed up, this address may or may not be associated with an email account.
