How to Remove the Card from the NordVPN App

NordVPN makes it simple for anyone to secure their personal data while online.

The VPN app automatically opens a secure connection to the NordVPN network, protecting you from prying eyes. As soon as you connect, your computer becomes a part of the encrypted network. With the NordVPN app, you can easily remove the app from your phone and access all of your devices. You can also move your account to another phone number or email if you want to change your password or take your device offline.

Open the App and Tap

Upon opening the app, you will see the splash screen with the NordVPN logo and the word Secure in a striking green font. As mentioned, the app automatically connects you to the NordVPN network, so you don’t have to worry about setting up the service manually.

At the bottom of the screen, you will see the logos for various platforms, starting with iOS and then followed by Android, Windows, and macOS. If you’re using multiple devices, you can also see an icon for each device that the app is installed on in the toolbar at the top of the screen.

Tap the Sign up button at the bottom of the screen and the app will guide you through the process of creating an account. You can create a new account or log in to an existing one.

Create a New Account

If you’re creating a new account, the app will walk you through the steps to verify your email. As soon as the email is verified, you will be taken to the Dashboard where you can access your account information. The Settings button in the top right corner of the screen will allow you to change various account details, such as the username and password.

Change Your Password

If you’re already connected to the NordVPN account and you decide that your password needs to be changed, tap the Settings button in the top right corner of the screen. You will then be taken to the Account page where you can select Change Password. Enter your new password twice and then tap Submit to save it.

Now that your password is changed, you can use the app to access all of your devices and services without worrying about your security while online.

Log In to an Existing Account

If you have an account already setup with NordVPN and you want to log in to it, tap the Sign In button in the top right corner of the screen. You will then be taken to the Dashboard where you can select Log In to the existing account. Enter your username and password and then tap Log In.

Once you’ve logged in, you can change various settings and customize the layout of the dashboard, as well as search for content.

How Does NordVPN Protect My Data?

NordVPN uses the most up-to-date and sophisticated technologies to protect your data while it’s stored on their servers and while you’re connected to the internet. When you use the app, your personal data is securely encrypted using the AES-256 bit algorithm. In addition, all sensitive data is also secured using the HMAC SHA-256 hashing algorithm. Even your email is secured using the CC encryption method.

NordVPN also never stores your personal data on their servers, which means that even if they were hacked, they would not have access to any of your information. In fact, all of your data is stored on a remote server that is located in a geographically-closest data center to you. This minimizes the risk of your data being leaked or hacked.

NordVPN only collects a small amount of information from their users, specifically, Device Type, Operating System, User Agent String (which is a string of text that is used to describe your device to websites when you visit them). As mentioned, the app automatically connects you to the NordVPN network when you open it, so they already have all of this information. However, they still need your email to verify your account. The email that you use to create an account is not stored by NordVPN, so they can’t access it even if they wanted to. All of this information is stored in a secure environment on the NordVPN servers.

Remove the App From Your Phone

Once you’ve signed up for a NordVPN account or if you already have one, you can download the app from the App Store or the Google Play Store. If you’re using Android, you can also search for NordVPN in the Google Play Store and tap the Download button to get the app. Once the download is complete, you can tap the Install button to install the app. You can now use the app without any concerns about your security online.

If you want to remove the app from your phone, search for NordVPN in your App Store or Play Store and tap the Uninstall button to remove it. You’ve now isolated all of your devices and can use different passwords and devices without any fears of your personal data being compromised.

If you decide that you want to re-install the app at a later time, you can always download it from the App Store or Play Store.
