How to Uninstall HideMyAss VPN?

Recently, I have been wanting to uninstall HideMyAss VPN app from my iPhone because I feel it’s a waste of my time and data. After trying multiple methods, here’s my guide to help you uninstall HideMyAss VPN easily.

First, Disconnect From the App

If you’ve already connected to the VPN and started using it, disconnect from the app. You can easily do this by going to the Settings app on your iPhone and searching for the VPN app. When the VPN is disconnected, you’ll notice a difference in your iPhone’s speed, and you will be able to reconnect to the Internet at much higher speeds.

Also, you can stop the VPN from updating to the latest version by going to the iPhone’s Settings app, tapping on General, and then scrolling down to the end of the list of apps. Find HideMyAss and then toggle the option for the app to not update.

Next, Erase Your Data

Go back to the Settings app and click on your iPhone’s Storage. You will see all the apps, music, photos, and documents that you’ve downloaded or created since your device was brand new. Find HideMyAss and tap on it several times until a dialog box appears. Select the Erase button to proceed to the confirmation screen. You will need to enter your Apple ID and password to confirm the process.

After Confirming, Wait For Your Device to Fully Reset

The next step is to take some time off and let your iPhone’s OS completely reinstall itself. This will remove all apps you’ve installed as well as all the changes that have been made to the iPhone’s settings and features. You’ll need to give your iPhone another go at setting up after it has completed its resetting process.

Once you’ve confirmed this, you can return to the Settings app and find HideMyAss again. Tap on it and scroll down to the bottom of the screen to locate the Uninstall button. You can now easily remove HideMyAss VPN from your iPhone.

How To Use The VPN On Your iPhone

If you’ve followed the steps above, you can now connect to the Internet at whatever speed you desire. You can also use the VPN’s kill switch to prevent any logging of your digital activities when you’re offline. When you’re on the move, you can disconnect from the network and save data when you’re about to enter a Wi-Fi-restricted area. This is especially helpful if you’re in a country where data charges are costly or are not covered by your plan.

Some of you might be wondering how to use the VPN on your iPhone. You can do this by going to the Settings app on your device and searching for the VPN. When the VPN is open, you will see the option to either Make This My Default or Add Another VPN. Choosing either of these options will add the VPN app to your iPhone’s list of available networks. You can then connect to the VPN app just as you did above.

As you can see, removing HideMyAss VPN from your iPhone is quite easy, but doing so brings its own set of challenges. If you’ve updated the VPN app after installing it, you will need to remove it and then re-install it to remove all the recent changes. It’s also a good idea to make sure that your iPhone’s storage is completely clean before you start using the device again. This can help prevent data from being lost due to unexpected crashes or system freezes.
