How to Use a VPN to Unlock Steam Games on a PC

It’s always a pain to enter the wrong PIN code (or use the wrong fingerprint) on the Steam box when you are trying to log in to the account you already have on file. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could use a VPN to easily unlock your Steam account? You can! Here’s how to use a VPN to unlock Steam games on a PC.

Set Up Your VPN Account

The first and most important step to VPN-ing to unlock Steam games is to set up the VPN account. You can do this on the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, or on Facebook. Just make sure that you download the app from the source you trust (e.g. Google Play Store vs. the official Steam download link).

From there, you should follow the instructions on the screen. You will be asked to enter a username, password, and then confirm it by entering your full name as the username (e.g. “John Smith”).

Unlock Your Steam Account With A VPN

Once you have set up your VPN account, it’s time to use it to unlock your Steam account. To do this, simply follow the instructions on the screen. You will be asked to enter your email address and then select which platform you are using. After entering your platform of choice (e.g. “PC”), a login screen for Steam will appear.

From here, you can either log in with your existing Steam account information or click the “Create a new account” button to create a new one. When you click the “Create a new account” button, you will be taken to the Steam sign-up page. Enter your email address and password and then click the “Create account” button. You will now be able to log in to your Steam account with your new VPN account info!

Now that you have your Steam account successfully unlocked with a VPN, you can explore the vast Steam store and download any game you want. Remember that when you are using a VPN to unlock Steam, you are connected to the internet through the VPN server. So, make sure that you are using a decent VPN that offers a good amount of security and privacy. If you’d like to learn more, check out our reviews of the best VPNs for Steam!
