How to Use NordVPN on a Pace Router

Having issues with Wi-Fi speed and reliability? Want to create your own secure home network that can accommodate all your smart devices, like your smartphones, tablets, and laptops, without the internet connection slowing down your device or draining your battery? Want to protect your personal data when browsing the web or using social media apps like Twitter and Facebook? If so, you’re in luck because we’ve got you covered! Here’s how to use NordVPN on a Pace Router.

A Pace Router Is Perfect For NordVPN

If you’re unfamiliar, the Pace router is a great solution for anyone looking for a quick, easy to set up, and cheap solution for creating a fast, reliable home network. This affordable yet powerful device gives you the capability to create multiple profiles, allowing you to switch between different connection types, like wired, wireless, or a mix of the two, quickly and effortlessly. Not only that but the device also enables you to prioritize network traffic, based on your preferences, like gaming devices or email over the web or social media. It also provides advanced security with 256-bit AES encryption as well as military-grade hardware to ensure the security of your data when using public Wi-Fi.

NordVPN is a reliable VPN service with a strong presence in the United States, being extremely popular due to its excellent customer service and wide range of servers. Additionally, the company stands out from the competition by providing a clear no log policy, ensuring complete privacy for its users. All of this makes NordVPN a perfect fit for a Pace Router.

Set Up NordVPN on Your Pace Router

Setting up any type of VPN client on a device is extremely easy. First, you’ll need to download the software from NordVPN’s website and install it on your computer. Then, you’ll need to launch the program and log in with your account information. After that, you’ll be presented with the option to create a new VPN connection or use an existing one. The latter will be selected by default since we’re going to be connecting to NordVPN via our Pace Router. If you choose to create a new connection, you’ll then need to enter a name for the service (we’ll be using NordVPN here), a security key (you’ll need this later), and a few server addresses, usually 1-3, separated by commas. You can also add a description for the server, if you’d like. After you’ve entered this information, you’ll need to verify your email address by clicking on the link provided in the confirmation email you’ll receive shortly after creating the account. As a last step, you’ll need to click on the Create button to save the connection.

To test your connection, you’ll need to either use the dedicated VPN client or ensure that NordVPN is started automatically whenever you turn on your computer or device. For the former, you can download a dedicated client for Windows, macOS, and AndroidOS, which also provides you with additional privacy-related features, like the ability to toggle a VPN connection on and off for apps that are running in the background. For the latter, you can associate VPN settings with specific network interfaces, like ethernet or Wi-Fi, so that every time they’re set up, the correct profile will be applied, without the user having to manually select it. This is one of the great benefits of using a VPN client. Once you’ve successfully set up NordVPN on your computer or device, you can proceed to the next step.

Configure Your Pace Router To Connect Using NordVPN

Configuring your Pace Router to connect using the NordVPN profile is easy to do. First, you’ll need to log in to your device’s web interface and search for the Network settings option, which should be located under the Tools heading. Alternatively, you can also find this option under your Device settings, depending on which setting you’re using. Once you’ve found the Network settings menu, you can click on Change to bring up a list of currently configured connections. Simply find the NordVPN profile in the list and click on Enable to activate it. Once enabled, you’ll be presented with the option to save your changes, which you can do by clicking on the Save button. Your Pace Routers should now be connected to the NordVPN network and ready to use whenever you need.

Using NordVPN on Your Pace Router

Now that your Pace Router is configured to connect using the NordVPN profile, you can use the service to securely browse the web, shop online, stream movies or TV shows, and play online games, without fear of your network being detected and your personal information being compromised. To do this, you’ll simply need to enter the Security Key (found on your NordVPN account page under My Account), which you can do by clicking on the Get Key button. Next, you’ll be presented with a list of currently available servers. Simply scroll through the list until you find a country that your Pace Router is capable of connecting to, like the United States, and then click on the server’s Pro button to connect.

You can also add more servers to your list by clicking on the Add More button, which will present you with a list of available server locations. One important thing to note here is that all of the servers NordVPN offers are region-locked, preventing you from accessing content from other locations. If you’d like to use a server from a different country, you’ll need to purchase a VPN that supports Unrestricted servers.

After you’ve connected to a server, you’ll see a green tick appear next to it. This indicates that the server is Active, or Responsive, which means it’s operating normally and you can continue using the service as usual. If you’d like to verify that you’re connected to the right server, you can type in the IP address of the server, which should be located in a pop-up window that appears once you’ve clicked on its Pro button. The IP address will then be listed below the Status text, along with the server’s Speed, Rating, and the Percentage Of Users, which is a rough estimation of how many people are currently connected to the server. In most cases, this number will be a small percentage of the total amount of users the server is capable of serving. If you’ve ever used Netflix, you’ll know that this is usually the case with VPN servers, since content is region-locked, preventing users from accessing content that’s not available in their geographic area. To disconnect from a server, simply click on its Pro button again to bring up the pop-up window that appears when you first connected to it. Then, click on Cancel to cancel the connection, or Disconnect to completely sever it. When you Disconnect from a server, it will ask you to re-enter your Security Key before it can be disabled. This will prevent other users from accidentally connecting to it, as it will appear in the list of available servers once you’ve logged out (or signed out) from your account.

One more thing before we move on, the Percentage Of Users displayed for each server varies depending on the device you’re using, like your mobile phone or tablet. Most devices will only show you the percentage of users for the server you’re currently connected to. If you’d like to view the percentage of users for all the servers available, click on the Network icon located at the top-right corner of the app’s main screen and Select All Networks, which is the second item in the list. This will ensure that you always view the percentage of users for all the servers accessible through your Pace Router, regardless of which network you’re connected to. As explained earlier, this number isn’t always indicative of the server’s current performance, as many VPN users tend to keep their connections constantly open, even when browsing the web or using other apps, like email.
